NEW Rules and Policies

Fines and Removal from Property: Non-compliance with our rules, policies, or Idaho state laws may result in fines and/or removal of you and your party from Riverpond Campground premises without a refund. The Reservation Holder is responsible for all payments. Rule violations are subject to fines starting at $25, assessed at the discretion of the host.

Fire Safety and Awareness: Boise County’s Outdoor Burning Ordinance is Ordinance 2017-01 and prohibits any open fires on private lands between July 1st and October 20th. This ban does not prohibit campfires in appropriate structures…”

  • “Appropriate Structures” are metal firepits that keep the fire off the ground and contained. Firepits can be checked out at the office. Smokeless and propane firepits are permitted.
  • No campfires are permitted on the ground even if it is surrounded by a ring of rocks. The pictures on the internet look cool and romantic, but they DO NOT REFLECT REALITY. The campground’s soil is mostly sand which retains heat that can ignite the roots below. Root fires are very dangerous.
  • Do not build fires under the trees or near bushes!
  • Keep fires small and under control. Overfilled firepits cause hot ash and burning sticks to fall out.
  • Do not put HOT ASH into the dumpsters!
  • Put partially burned wood/coals/ash into the black, half barrels spread throughout the campground.
  • Keep a bucket of water nearby.
  • Read the posted signs for more pointers.
  • NEVER, EVER leave a campfire unattended! In other words, do not go to sleep or leave the site with a fire burning.

Dogs: Always keep your dog leashed, tethered, pinned, or kenneled on campground property. This requirement includes even while you are at your site. Aggressive or noisy dogs are not permitted on the property. Owners assume responsibility for damage caused by their dogs, such as digging holes and marking. Owners are liable if their dog gets into a fight and/or attacks a guest.

Rabies Vaccination: The state of Idaho requires that all dogs be vaccinated. Owners are required to carry proof of vaccination for their dogs while on Riverpond Campground property.

4-Dog Limit per Site: The reservation Base Rate includes 2 dogs. It is $15 for each additional dog.

Feces – Dog and Human: Pickup and properly dispose of feces. Toilets are provided for human use.

Toothpaste: Split in an empty container, not on the ground. Dried toothpaste leaves “white spots” on the ground and plants. It will stay there until the spring runoff.

Trash: Please clean up after yourselves including (but not limited to) cigarette butts, nicotine pouches, toilet paper, tortillas, onion skins...these items don’t biodegrade quickly in our climate and will remain for the next guests.

Help keep wildlife wild by: (1) Not leaving food out. (2) Not throwing food into the bushes to “feed the animals” or let it “biodegrade.” (3) Inclosing food scraps in bags before putting the bags in the trash barrels or dumpsters. Racoons, skunks, and foxes occasionally visit the campground.

Holes: Do not let your kids or dogs dig holes. These are a safety hazard for the other guests. Do not dig a hole to deposit grease, food scraps, and/or feces; put it in the dumpster.

Diseased Firewood and Wood Chips: Help keep our trees healthy by not bringing diseased wood into the area. The trees struggle to grow, and some are around 100 years old. Rake up woodchips after chopping firewood. They are fire hazards.

Bush/Tree Cutting: DO NOT cut or prune our bushes and trees for firewood or to hang hammocks. If pruning is needed to better accommodate your rig, ask the host for assistance.

Motorized Vehicles: ALL motor vehicles, including but not limited to motorbikes, side-by-sides and ATVs, must stay on established roadways and in designated parking areas. Help keep the dust down by driving slowly and only as needed for transportation to and from your campsite. NO pleasure driving to entertain kids.

Minors and Motorized Vehicles: NO unlicensed persons are allowed to drive any motorized vehicle, including but not limited to, electric scooters and kid cars, on the property. Leave them at home.

Established & Correct Sites: Guests are permitted to camp only in sites established by campground management. Guests who park or set up in the wrong spot must move to their assigned site or exit the property. No refunds will be given.

Entrance/Visitor Fees: Any person without an overnight reservation including guests of registration holdersmust pay an entrance fee. Visitors count towards each site’s maximum occupancy limit. Riverpond Campground is private property, not a Public Water Access Point, and does not provide free parking for Starlight Theatre attendees. Thank you for helping prevent campground overcrowding.

Fireworks and Firearms: All fireworks are prohibited on campground property. Discharging any firearms including BB and Airsoft guns, is forbidden on our private property.

Swimming: Swim or wade in the river at your own risk. The pond is off limits.

Release of Liability

All registered campers (including their family members and guests) accept camping privileges with the understanding that they hereby RELEASE Riverpond Campground, its owners, and staff, of ALL LIABILITY for loss or damage to property and/or injury to person arising out of use/abuse of said camping facilities.
